C’est la Vie (15)
Max is a wedding planner but after 30 years of confetti and cake, he has one last wedding to get through at a 17th-century chateau. During the course of the big day, he has to deal with a volatile, often foul-mouthed assistant, missing staff, rebellious waiters, a demanding, egocentric groom, iffy electrical system, substitute DJ, and a whole lot more. Added to the mix, Max is separated from his wife, his grumpy brother-in-law is one of his waiters and has a history with the bride, Max’s girlfriend, and also his assistant, keeps flirting with one of the waiters and it’s Max’s birthday. What could possibly go right?

And the critics say…
“Few films this year will provide as much sheer joy as this bubbly, charming and relentlessly hilarious jog around an arena we’re all familiar with.” Hilary White, Sunday Independent
“An uproariously contemporary riff on Robert Altman’s underrated classic A Wedding […] focusing almost exclusively on [the] wedding planner and his eccentric crew.” Jared Mobarak, The Film Stage
“Co-directors and screenwriters Eric Toledano and Olivier Nakache (Untouchables) pull another magical trick out of the hat with a ruthlessly-plotted breeze of ensemble good humour, C’est La Vie!.” Fionnuala Halligan, Screen International
