Our aim: To entertain and inspire with a carefully curated selection of the best of British, independent, archive, documentary, arthouse & world cinema, from the early days of film to new releases, featuring Wales and all other corners of the world, in a friendly, atmosphere that encourages a broad reach.
Audience members are welcome regardless of their beliefs, affiliations, appearance, abilities or background.
We’re an entirely volunteer-run not-for-profit group, based in Llangollen and formed solely to bring cinema-going back to the town. We’re always pleased to hear from potential new recruits – whether you want to get involved behind the scenes or in front of them.
As you can imagine, running a film night is a real team effort. It simply can’t be done without a committed group with a wide range of skills. For instance, are you a graphic designer, photographer, audio visual expert, holder of a personal alcohol licence, PR guru, generally super-organised person, web maestro, cake steward, charismatic compère, flyer distributor, poster-putter-upperer, general helper?
We’re looking for people of all ages. Obviously an interest in film would be good, but not essential! Enthusiasm, reliability and problem-solving skills would be highly desirable.
